Recordings: Lectures & More
Here you can meet the boundary breaking scientists that are part of the our Science Network and learn about their cutting edge research. Go a bit further and you will find some intriguing answers to the question: Who Owns Science?
2022 Boundary-Breaking Science Symposium: From Gene Editing to Gene Writing
Bayer Foundation and Bayer Science Fellows hosted our very first Boundary-Breaking Science Symposia. At the Bayer Crop Science Campus in Monheim, industry and academic experts from around the world were coming together to exchange on cutting edge research “From Gene Editing to Gene Writing”. As part of our work to advance both equity and collaboration in science, we have invited the wider scientific community and Bayer Foundation Science Network to take part. In addition, as we aim to make global access to the most cutting research more equitable, recordings of these outstanding lectures are available free of charge through our website.
Here you can read the scientific summary of the event prepared by the conference chair and Bayer Distinguished Fellow Dr. Larry Gilbertson, with support from Dr. Laura Hoffmeister.

Who Owns Science? 2021
Bayer Foundation presents at Berlin Science Week
Hosted by renowned science engager Theo Anagnostopoulos, co-founder of SciCo, a National Geographic Explorer, and member of the Explorers Club 50 Class of 2022 we ask the question Who Owns Science?
We explore whether science really can include all of us and what is the role society in scientific practice? Can we build a constructive dialogue between science and society, and is equality in science important? We put these questions to three superstars, so tune in to hear what they have to say on this and a lot more
